Thought of some views when i was listening to Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd. I bet most guys have heard bout Annabel Chong. She's an example that i think that shows that education aint everything.
If you dunno who she is, she’s a product of an ’elite’ schooling system (RGS and Hwa Chong Junior College), an accomplished pianist and violinist, a national scholar, a gang-rape survivor AND yes, she’s also a world famous porn star. She embodies intellect that we respect, non-conformity that we admire and courage that we cannot even fathom.
Besides, there are rich millionaires in the world now that are very well educated. The education system where kids attend kindergarden then primary school then secondary school then junior college and universaty in the end is just simply flawed. Indeed, that's the winning formula for a successful career oppurtunity... like 30 years ago. Why? In the past, not many people can afford education. Educations is deemed as a luxury. People who can even get a 'O' Level Cert last time is already like, WOAH. Now? 'O' Level cert = CRAP.
With foreign students now, there are greater competition in the education scene. More local students will have to seek "inferior" education, as deemed by older generations, eg. Poly and Private Schools. Without cert = Lousy jobs. Plus, foreign workers are flowing in too and that means that less job oppurtunity for us.
Im not saying that education is unimportant. It is. But Good Education does not equals to Good pay. In this time and day, to become rich by slowly climbing up the coperate ladder will take eons. Setting up a business is much faster, PROVIDED, your busniess is a great one.
I aim to setup a business too. But, im poor.
